Married at First Sight star Michael has set the record straight on his sexuality after viewers watched him embrace his feminine side on Season 17 of the show.

When Michael got to tour and explore his wife Chloe's old apartment on Married at First Sight, he tried on her pearl necklace. And then once the couple moved in together in Denver, he asked if he could borrow her hoop earrings.

On Married at First Sight: Afterparty, which aired on Wednesday, February 7, Michael watched back a Season 17 clip of one of the couple's counseling sessions with Pastor Calvin Roberson.

"I'm not used to a man wearing my earrings," Chloe tells the show expert with Michael by her side.

"Is that okay with you? Because if you don't want him wearing your earrings, that's okay," Pastor Cal responds with a laugh.

"It is okay. You can say, 'No,'" Michael adds.

"It's not that it's my earrings. It's not that it's my pearl necklace. It is just he is vastly different from any other man that I've ever been in a relationship with."

Afterparty host Keshia Knight Pulliam asked Michael to reveal how he identifies.

"Are you straight? Are you whatever? Do you mind me asking that?" Keshia questioned.

"No, by all means," Michael responded. "No, I'm straight."

He continued, "You know, from a sexual preference, I've always been heterosexual in that regard. And credit to Chloe, I don't feel like she has any concerns with that."

Michael elaborated, "I think I've been very clear about my sexual desires with her, so I never felt like that was called into question by her."

Keshia asked Michael how he made that clear to his wife, and he shared, "Well, I told her!"

"And, like, even though we're still wanting to build that emotional connection first before having sex," he said, "we're fooling around."

Michael even revealed that he and Chloe were "walking around naked all the time" in their shared Denver apartment, adding, "That comfort is there. We have that comfort. We just wanted to continue to build on this emotional momentum."

Michael therefore confirmed that Chloe was well aware he was sexually attracted to her, and in turn, he thought Chloe was sexually attracted to him.

"But I also respect the fact I can be a lot to take in, especially being outside the norm for her. But I feel it," Michael noted.

When asked if he's always been so fashion forward, Michael explained how he's from Southern California and grew up in Orange County.

"Okay, it's making more sense for me now!" Keshia joked.

"Yeah, and I lived in L.A. for about a decade before moving to Denver," Michael said.

Michael went on to share how the most unique piece in his closet happens to be a pair of high top pink sneakers that resemble moon boots.

Michael's MAFS co-star Austin, who also appeared on Afterparty, applauded Chloe for being able to understand Michael and see past the fact her husband is "a lot."

Austin added, "You are [both] willing to accept the person for who they are, and it's not surface level."

Fellow MAFS star Lauren also appeared on Afterparty and voiced how every person has a mix of masculine and feminine energy and that Michael "does a good job of expressing that" and staying true to himself.

Overall, Michael said he was "feeling good" in his marriage about five days into the process.

The first time Michael tried on one of Chloe's accessories, she told the cameras on Married at First Sight, "Before I was a married woman, I never romantically entertained a man that leans into his feminine side. I'm definitely not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm taking it one day at a time."

Once Chloe saw Michael's skirt collection in his closet, she seemed a little taken aback.

"I never in a million years thought I'd be married to a man who owns more skirts than I do. It takes it to the next level," Chloe said in a confessional.

And then Chloe explained to Pastor Cal during the counseling session how Michael leaning "so heavily into his feminine side" was new territory for her to navigate.

"What you've given me is a man I never would have chosen for myself, truthfully," Chloe confessed.

"We are not two people coming together where I'd say, 'I would've picked you out in a bar,' and truthfully, I asked for that man who has a heart of gold -- and that's the man you gave me," Chloe said.

Chloe shared how she valued Michael's authentic self and she was willing to give their marriage her best shot.

Pastor Cal could sense maturity with this couple as well as a mutual admiration and respect for one another.
