Married at First Sight star Amber Bowles apparently doesn't feel husband Matthew Gwynne is ready for marriage at this point in the experiment and he needs to change.

As shown on a recent episode of Married at First Sight, Matt told Amber he wanted to wait another five to eight years before welcoming children, and the revelation caught Amber totally off guard. Amber was left thinking Matt should've asked the MAFS experts to match him with someone younger.

But Matt said kids didn't scare him; it was the idea of being tied and connected to the child's mother for the rest of his life, no matter what.

"It's not like you can just say, 'I don't want to deal with you anymore,' and move on. You can't. You have a child together, so you are automatically bonded by default to that other human being for the rest of your life," Matt explained to Amber.

During a Wednesday appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Amber voiced her frustration about that conversation she had with the former pro basketball player.

"For me, the biggest issue was he said something like, 'When you have kids, you're bonded for life,' and I'm like, 'Bro, when you get married, you're bonded for life,'" Amber insisted.

"When you get married, you sign a contract that you're going to marry that person forever. So I was like, 'Okay, well, why did you want to get married if you don't want to do this forever?'"

Amber wasn't sure in the moment whether Matt was truly ready for what he had signed up for by appearing on Married at First Sight's ninth season.

"All of this information is letting me know that Matt's not really ready for marriage at this point," Amber vented.

"I'm just feeling like Matt's biggest concern right now is Matt and what he needs to do in his life. And that's fine, but he probably shouldn't have done this if he wasn't ready for forever."

Amber was joined by her Married at First Sight co-stars Iris Caldwell and Jamie Thompson -- who wed Keith Manley and Elizabeth Bice, respectively -- on the Unfiltered broadcast.

When Iris was asked whether she would wait eight years before a man would have children with her, she replied, "No. I wouldn't."

"Because I know how much kids mean to me and my life and where I see my life going," Iris elaborated. "And knowing I'm going to have to wait eight years for my spouse to want to be ready to have kids, I think that's a lot."

"I think it's just fear," Jamie chimed in. "That's all it is."

But Iris joked such a fear would land a husband on the couch.

"If he has this much fear, this isn't the right step for him," Amber acknowledged of Matt.

"Devil's advocate though -- if he wanted to conquer this fear, he needs to make efforts to change and to transform, and I just don't see that effort being made."

Luckily, Jamie and Elizabeth appear to be on the same page about kids in that they don't want to have any, while Iris and Keith both seem to be excited about becoming parents in the near future.

Married at First Sight's currently-airing season on Lifetime also stars Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie.
