Married at First Sight star Amber Bowles has revealed she worried her husband Matthew Gwynne wasn't physically attracted to her on Season 9 of the Lifetime reality series.

As shown on a recent episode of Married at First Sight, Amber and Matt decided to stop sleeping together with a week to go before "Decision Day" in order to determine whether they had a deeper connection beyond just the physical.

Amber revealed on Wednesday night's episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered it was Matt's idea to take sex off the table, and while she was definitely onboard with exploring more of an emotional connection,  Amber couldn't help but think there was more behind Matt's decision.

"This is kind of a tough question, but do you feel like maybe he's not sexually attracted to you anymore, and he's just not into you?" Unfiltered host Jamie Otis asked Amber.

"It makes me wonder if he was ever physically attracted to me," Amber shared. "It makes me wonder, like, why would he have sex with me in the first place if he wasn't?"

Matt and Amber seemed to have an immediate attraction to each other when they first met at the altar on their wedding day.

Matt said he thought Amber was beautiful, and the couple consummated their marriage during the first night of their honeymoon in Antigua.

"So, there's just a lot of questions going through my head with, 'What's wrong with me?' or 'Am I not pretty enough?' or 'Am I not good enough?'" Amber admitted.

She continued, "And I really shouldn't go there, but it's just human nature. It's hard not to."

Matt never flat out said he lacked an attraction to Amber, but he has previously said that was his biggest fear about the couple's marriage.

During a previous episode of Unfiltered, Matt said his biggest fear in his marriage to Amber was "losing physical attraction."

Matt was also apparently disappointed to have been matched with a woman of Amber's height.

The 6'9" former professional basketball player previously confessed on Unfiltered he had been hoping for a taller bride than just 5'2".

"I've dated, seriously, like four different girls. One was 5'2" but the others were all six foot and above," Matt revealed. "So I was expecting just a little bit taller!"

Matt expressed how Amber's height was "kind of a disappointment" -- at least "at first."

Matt also didn't seem excited about the fact the experts had matched him with a woman who considers herself a Tomboy and doesn't enjoy wearing makeup.

"I personally like a little bit of makeup and a woman who is into style/fashion," Matt told Reality TV World at the start of the Married at First Sight season.

During her appearance on this week's Unfiltered broadcast, Amber also said there is no emotional intimacy in her marriage to Matt and his idea of being intimate is allegedly watching ESPN together.

"It was Matt's idea but I gladly jumped onboard," Amber said about the couple's decision to stop sleeping together in order to determine if they had a deeper connection that went beyond just the physical.

"Physical chemistry isn't something we really need to work on, it's definitely emotional chemistry."

"There's nothing there when it comes to emotionally between us, because he's not expressive," Amber shared.

"I think it's just healthy for us to take the physical chemistry off the table to see if there's anything left."

Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson then asked Amber if Matt had been doing anything, excluding sexual intercourse, to improve their emotional connection.

"Is there anything he's doing?" Pastor Cal reiterated. "And I don't mean after you initiate. Is he initiating intimacy?"

"No," Amber firmly replied. "Like, I mean other than turning on SportsCenter and being like, 'Want to watch this game?'"

"Like, no," she shrugged.

The latest episode of Married at First Sight's currently-airing ninth season featured Matt and Amber trying to work through their issues during a couples' retreat in North Carolina with a little over one week to go until "Decision Day," when each couple must decide whether they'd like to stay married or get a divorce.

Matt spoke to his co-stars at the retreat about having put a lot of effort into his marriage and really caring about Amber.

He even said they had developed "a deep and meaningful connection."

But Amber said Matt's actions didn't match up with his words, especially since Matt spent so much time with his friends and occasionally refused to come home at a decent hour at night.

Amber therefore questioned whether her husband was being insincere and "blowing smoke up everyone's ass" for the sake of the cameras and his image.

In addition to Matt and Amber, Married at First Sight also stars Elizabeth Bice and Jamie Thompson, Iris Caldwell and Keith Manley, as well as Deonna McNeill and Gregory Okotie.
