The ninth season of Married at First Sight was filmed in Charlotte, NC earlier this year, and will premiere with a special two-hour episode tonight at 9PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
Prior to the two-hour premiere, Lifetime will also air a Season 9 Matchmaking Special at 8PM ET/PT.
Similar to prior seasons, Married at First Sight's ninth season will feature strangers meeting at the wedding altar and then spending the next eight weeks embarking on a honeymoon, moving in together, and then navigating the joys and struggles of daily life together.
End the end of the eight-week experiment, Married at First Sight's four Season 9 couples will reach "Decision Day" and have to decide whether to remain married or decide to end their marriages and divorce.
The couples were matched by Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Pastor Calvin Roberson, and Dr. Viviana Coles -- who is replacing Dr. Jessica Griffin on the show's expert panel this season.
The four brides getting married at first sight are Elizabeth Bice, a 29-year-old from South Carolina who was raised in Mooresville, NC; Iris Caldwell, a 27-year-old from Raleigh, NC; Amber Bowles, a 27-year-old currently living in the Charlotte area; and Deonna McNeill, a 30-year-old currently living in the Charlotte area.
