Married at First Sight featured Miguel Santiago criticizing and snapping at Lindy Elloway throughout the couples' retreat, which made her feel "defeated" and "like a piece of sh-t," and Alexis and Justin consummating their marriage during the Season 15 episode that aired Wednesday night on Lifetime.

The five brides from San Diego who were selected to wed on Season 15 of Married at First Sight were Lindy, a 29-year-old doctor of physical therapy; Krysten, a 32-year-old sales representative; Alexis, a 29-year-old logistics specialist; Stacia Karcher, a 37-year-old accountant; and Morgan, a 27-year-old registered nurse.

The five grooms starring on the new MAFS edition are Miguel, a 35-year-old associate medical director; Mitch, a 41-year-old environmental policy advocate; Justin, a 33-year-old digital marketing specialist; Nate Barnes, a 34-year-old day trader; and Binh, a 29-year-old engineer.

Married at First Sight experts Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson matched Lindy and Miguel, Krysten and Mitch, Alexis and Justin, Stacia and Nate, and Morgan and Binh.

After meeting at the altar, the couples spend a total of eight weeks together, from the wedding and honeymoon to moving in together and navigating the joys and struggles of daily life together.

And at the end of the experiment, Married at First Sight's Season 15 couples will reach "Decision Day" and have to decide whether to remain married or decide to end their marriages and divorce.

However, Morgan and Binh's Decision Day came early, and so they were not featured in the latest episode.

The Married at First Sight broadcast began with the four remaining couples packing their bags and heading to a couples' retreat.

Stacia and Nate went shopping for sex toys, including "pleasure panties" that vibrate, and Miguel was shown surprising Lindy with a rose-gold sequin dress.

Miguel told Lindy that the cast was going to have a prom night that evening considering Lindy had been raised in a strict religious household and never got to attend a high school prom.

As for Krysten and Mitch, they were still reeling from the fight they had in front of their co-stars at the pool party.

Footage flashed back to Mitch apologizing for how his conversation with Krysten's sister Rachel had come across, but he insisted to Krysten that he never wanted her to change or put that on her.

Mitch also said in footage caught by his apartment's cameras that he was upset Krysten had lashed out at him in front of a group of people, and Krysten broke down into tears and apologized, saying that she was "f-cking losing [her] mind."

Krysten said this couples' retreat was going to be "a last-ditch effort" to make her relationship with Mitch work.

"I didn't want to be the husband who tells his wife how to be," Mitch told Krysten on the drive to the retreat in Fallbrook, CA.

"I guess I wanted you, so badly, to just say, 'You're beautiful inside and out.' And I just didn't get that," Krysten explained, adding, "I do want to be in a marriage where someone voices that they are happy to be with me."

Mitch assured Krysten that he thought she's beautiful, smart and fun to be with, and Krysten thanked him because she had been waiting for six weeks to hear sweet compliments like that.

The four couples arrived at a beautiful house high on a cliff, and everyone was happy to see each other.

Krysten announced how she and her husband had a good talk on the drive up and they were "back" as a couple, mainly because Mitch had finally given her the validation she was craving.

Everyone got all dressed up and ready for the prom that night, and then Alexis and Justin revealed that they had consummated their marriage.

"It was just the right time. I feel it was 10 times better waiting because we built a connection and it wasn't sex; I feel like we made love, if I'm being honest," Justin told the cameras. "It lasted all night. Maybe that's TMI."

Before the prom, Lindy and Miguel took some photos in their room and Lindy shouted at Miguel not to take selfies because she wanted "good quality" photos. Lindy asked this repeatedly, and Miguel accused her of taking "a tone" with him that he didn't like.

Lindy, however, insisted she was just kidding, but then Miguel snapped how he didn't want to be her personal photographer either. Miguel said he was trying to rest when Lindy asked for a photo, which made him feel like she didn't care about his needs at all.

"That was not my intention at all," Lindy told her husband.

"Try to do a better job of reading the room," Miguel said. "Don't expect me to be your personal photographer."

"I don't want to fight over a stupid photo," Lindy replied.

Despite the couple's disagreement, Lindy felt pretty and was ready to have a good time and interact with the other cast members. She was convinced her tiff with Miguel was just a minor setback and they'd dance the night away.

Everyone was given a Married at First Sight yearbook and each couple took prom photos, but the night came crashing down for Lindy when, despite her many apologies for her behavior earlier in the evening, Miguel accused her of "gaslighting and bullsh-tting" him.

Miguel said the night was really "trying" him because he didn't like how Lindy had given him attitude earlier about taking a good photo. He suggested that she was demanding and had stepped over a line, even though Lindy said she was joking around at the time.

"It's that tone that you used when you were irritated. That doesn't fly -- ever," Miguel told his wife. "You don't talk to me like that -- ever. Why would you talk to me like that?"

"It was a totally missed joke," Lindy replied, thinking they just had miscommunication.

But Miguel said Lindy had admitted she was annoyed in the moment, which means she wasn't joking around.

"The frustration wasn't a joke," Miguel said.

Lindy said she didn't think she was offending or disturbing Miguel when she had asked him for a photo, and Miguel said what bothered him is when Lindy noted how his slow pace was annoying her.

"That's the thing that scares the f-ck out of me. There's this anger inside of you," Miguel said.

"It wasn't anger though, it was a misread frustration... I don't feel like I'm being heard right now. You're just like, 'Don't talk to me like that, no matter what,'" Lindy said.

Lindy told the cameras how Miguel was being "harsh" with her, and Miguel continued to scold Lindy, saying how she shouldn't get annoyed so easily about things. Miguel called the event "jarring," and he accused her of having "an outburst" about the photograph.

Miguel said Lindy had "yelled" at him, or her "tone went up," which made her laugh and then flip the script.

"Yes, I am a total f-ckup. I hear you. I'm the biggest f-ck up ever," Lindy said sarcastically.

Lindy was trying to enjoy her prom and so she thought Miguel was being "selfish" for not letting the past go.

Lindy didn't know what to say or what Miguel wanted to hear, and he said this was simply their biggest challenge. Lindy was afraid to lose her husband and called herself a total idiot.

Lindy said she had felt "neglected" and "ignored" before the prom, which was embarrassing for her because being all dressed up for a night of dancing was a "vulnerable" moment for her. She felt Miguel was nit-picking and beating her up.

Miguel told the cameras that it would be okay if Lindy was upset but she wasn't being transparent with him about her feelings.

Miguel then gave Lindy a kiss on the lips, and the night continued on with superlative awards.

Lindy and Miguel won "Most Likely to Stay Married," and the pair expressed how they really loved each other, and then Krysten announced she'd be "Most Likely to End Up with Multiple Divorces."

The news appeared to rub Mitch the wrong way, especially because he said Krysten didn't like it when he made similar jokes like that. Regardless, Stacia shouted at Mitch to step up his game and do better.

Miguel and Lindy were then named "Prom King and Queen" of the night, and Lindy said it was the best moment of her life.

However, later that night, Miguel circled back to their argument, and Lindy said she didn't think she had done anything wrong.

Luckily, Nate and Stacia saved the day by bringing their sex swing into Lindy and Miguel's room, and Lindy and Miguel practiced some possible positions and had a few good laughs.

The next day, Justin and Alexis visited a winery, and Alexis said she was happy she could finally be intimate with her husband. Alexis was hopeful for the future and thought Justin seemed more relaxed and self-assured.

Justin told the cameras that giving himself to Alexis was special, but Justin told his wife that eight weeks wasn't enough time for them to have everything figured out and he was afraid she was going to quit, cut and run.

Krysten and Mitch did some archery, and Krysten said she was finally over her insecurity about Mitch not being attracted to her. Krysten said she received the clarity that she needed and forgave Mitch for wanting her to dress down and wear less makeup.

Miguel and Lindy enjoyed a horse-drawn carriage ride, and Miguel shared his poetry with her. However, Lindy kept interrupting Miguel, and he became irritated and said it was "draining."

"I'm running on fumes. I'm just, like, f-cking existing right now... I don't know if I'm going to get to the point where I just can't with this anymore," Miguel lamented in a confessional.

Miguel then told Lindy how he didn't like her short attention span and how often she got distracted when he was trying to talk about important things. Lindy asked for grace and understanding because she was excited by her surroundings, but then Miguel snapped, "Don't expect me to have heartfelt conversations."

Lindy said she wanted to comment on things happening around them, like a bunny hopping nearby, but Miguel -- who admitted he had entered the retreat with low energy -- complained about how his wife wasn't listening to him or hearing what he had to say.

"I don't want to feel like I'm ever competing for your attention. Either I have it or I don't, and that's kind of on you," Miguel griped.

"But I've also never had someone who is so offended by it, so this is new to me," Lindy said.

"But you've also never had a husband who stuck around," Miguel snapped.

"Have you ever had a wife that stuck around?" Lindy quietly asked, with surprise in her voice."

Lindy broke down into tears and said that she was trying her best, adding, "I'm still learning you. I don't know your triggers."

Lindy walked away from Miguel crying and said she was sick of feeling like she wasn't enough for him.

"I'm learning every second about what he needs and what he wants, and I'm bowing down," Lindy complained. "It's hard for me to say when I should put my foot down."

Miguel chased after Lindy and apologized for pushing her to the point of tears, but Lindy wished her husband would just love her and accept her for who she is. She said she didn't know what to do, other than to try to be better.

Miguel said he needed to be more patient and sensitive and call Lindy out in a softer way, but then he accused her of having "a blowup," which Lindy thought was ridiculous considering she was having a mature conversation with him and he had been very hard on her.

"That was not an outburst!... He cannot handle my outbursts -- he can't! Can I truly express myself and he'll still be there? I honestly don't think so. I don't," Lindy vented in a confessional.

Later that day, the women made dinner together, and Alexis expressed how she'd like Justin to be dominant in the bedroom because she tends to be dominant in many other aspects in her life.

When asked if she enjoyed herself, Alexis said her goal is to please her man and so it was great. However, Alexis dodged the real question.

Krysten then expressed how she needed to feel more security and consistency in her marriage, although she and Mitch were in the best place yet.

"Is there enough good in the last seven weeks where we want to give it more time?... I'm not going to say 'yes' and I'm not going to say 'no.' Time is very valuable to me and my ovaries are not getting any younger," Krysten shared with the ladies.

Meanwhile, Miguel confessed to the men how he had been irritable, grumpy and easily bothered throughout the trip.

Lindy said the trip had been challenging but she still loved Miguel and was trying not to question her marriage.

But then she asked a producer to take a photo of her with the landscape in the background, and Miguel was upset Lindy didn't ask him to take it. Miguel said Lindy clearly wasn't reading his energy, and the Lindy blurted out that she just couldn't win.

Miguel said he didn't want to waste hours talking if Lindy wasn't going to understand him in the end.

"I'll just give up," Miguel said.

Lindy attempted to explain herself calmly and rationally, and then she went in for a hug -- which Miguel rejected. Miguel said he was getting pissed off by everything, and Lindy said she needed to do things exactly how Miguel wanted them or else he wasn't going to be happy.

Lindy said she was trying to be considerate and so she asked someone else for a photo. Lindy felt she was being attacked for everything and that everything she was doing was wrong.

Miguel and Lindy bickered back and forth and then Lindy began sobbing.

"I am trying so hard! I can't do anything right," she cried.

Lindy refused to go to dinner and told production that she just needed to be alone. She felt rejected, and then Miguel later confessed that he had overreacted to things.

Miguel apologized for not hugging Lindy, explaining how it would've been fake because of how he was feeling. He also owned up to being "negative," which he described as being "disagreeable, moody and low-key disrespectful."

Lindy acknowledged how it seemed like Miguel was looking for a reason to not be with her.

At dinner that night, Nate seemed to put the vibrating panties on full blast, and it got so intense for Stacia that she had to run away from the table. Nate said he didn't know how to work the remote, and Stacia was cracking up with laughter.

Once Miguel and Lindy joined the couples' dinner, Miguel apologized again for taking out his bad mood on Lindy and making her feel bad.

Krysten later impersonated Mitch and did a hilarious take of him by dressing up a bald head (via pantyhose), a beanie, and a striped shirt. She playfully roasted and mocked him, and Mitch said he liked that side of his wife and wanted to see more of it.

The couples had a great time, but Miguel hinted at the end of the trip how marriage was hard work and he and Lindy needed to find compromise or else their relationship may not work out.

Before leaving to go home, the cast played Dodgeball, and Lindy said Miguel has "an outburst" after losing the game. Miguel scolded Lindy for not giving him words of affirmation or being his cheerleader when they were on opposing teams.

Lindy said her husband made her feel like "a piece of sh-t" and she felt defeated.

Lindy explained to her teammates how Miguel was just sensitive after an exhausting weekend, ultimately defending him, and Miguel told his teammates how he was walking on eggshells around his wife.

Lindy said she couldn't open her mouth or joke because Miguel got mad at everything and pulled away from her when he's upset.

Miguel vented about how he was "despising" the person he was becoming, and Stacia noted how she could see a change in Miguel, who felt disconnected from Lindy.

"I just don't know if they're meant to be together," Stacia told the cameras.

Miguel wasn't sure if love was enough to keep his relationship going, and Lindy feared one wrong move would make Miguel give up on her and bounce.

"I can't do it anymore. I can't be the punching bag anymore," Lindy cried.

"I don't know how we overcome this," Miguel stated to the guys.
