The couples were matched by Married at First Sight experts Pastor Calvin Roberson, Dr. Jessica Griffin, and Dr. Pepper Schwartz based on compatibility, personality, life goals, hobbies, religion, views of marriage and gender roles, and much more.

Over the course of the season, which filmed for seven weeks, each couple is shown navigating the joys and struggles of daily life together after agreeing to an arranged marriage.

The latest Married at First Sight broadcast began with just over a week remaining until "Decision Day."

Kate and Luke were working on their relationship and decided to enjoy a romantic night out to the ballet.

Kate felt "so much better" about her marriage, saying they had talked through their issues and were beginning to understand each other more. Kate was ready to have fun.

Kate dressed in a navy blue jumpsuit, and Luke told her that she looked "very nice." He was trying to put all of his effort into his marriage and have both feet in, rather than one foot in and one foot out the door.

Meanwhile, Jasmine cooked a nice dinner for Will in lingerie, hoping she'd flip his switch but also that he might flip hers on as well.

Jasmine made Will's favorite dish and hoped to dive deeper emotionally and intellectually since he had been waited for her to explore his many layers and ask more questions.

As fans may recall, Will said a woman's intelligence and conversation turns him on and makes him want to be sexual or intimate.

Will revealed he felt inadequate during a previous relationship and had been hurt. He couldn't control his emotions at the time, but he eventually had an awakening one day and followed the advice of motivational speakers.

Jasmine didn't know Will had struggled in the past, so pieces of the puzzle were finally coming together for her. She understood why it was so difficult for Will to let her in towards the beginning of their marriage.

Will felt intellectually stimulated by Jasmine, and so she was hoping to "get lucky" that night.

The show's experts asked Will and Jasmine to kiss each other for one minute in the hope of stimulating their connection, but Jasmine was hoping to stimulate Will into wanting to have sex.

After the kiss, Jasmine said she enjoyed it and felt calm. She thought the kiss was sensual, but Will admitted it was "a bit awkward."

"Your intimacy is physical, and mine is intellectual intimacy. And that kind of starts to open up [that door] for me," Will said, adding that he wants their kisses to be organic with natural chemistry.

Will admitted the energy of their kiss was off because the moment was basically forced.

"I think at this point, Will is using 'mental stimulation' as a crutch because it seems to come up in every single conversation that we have, even when we had a really intimate dinner and I've asked him several questions," Jasmine said in a confessional.

"He's still saying he needs more mental stimulation before we kiss. It's like, I can't win. I don't know what else to do here."

Jasmine told Will that she understood what he was asking for but she didn't agree with it under the circumstances.

Meanwhile, Kate and Luke had a great time at the ballet. Kate said her previous conversation about divorce seemed to result in a breaking point that made both spouses realize they didn't want to split up.

Kate was therefore getting to know Luke more and more every day, and she liked the direction their dynamic was headed.

With eight days until "Decision Day," the four couples went out for dinner with Pastor Cal.

AJ revealed at the dinner he was "falling in love" with Stephanie, and she was also apparently "getting there."

Keith acknowledged his future with Kristine looked bright but "love" was a strong word and he just wasn't there yet.

Pastor Cal then announced the four couples would be enjoying a mini honeymoon together. He hoped the couples would observe and learn from each other. It allowed each pair another opportunity to connect as well as receive guidance and support.

The cast then headed to the Poconos. AJ was a tad disappointed he had to share Stephanie with everyone else, but Kate seemed particularly excited about the trip.

After the dinner, Kate FaceTimed with Dr. Pepper because she needed some help.

"I feel bad because Luke asked me not to talk about this with the experts, but I can't keep it a secret anymore. I kind of feel bad because from the beginning of the marriage, it's just," Kate began, as her eyes were filling with tears.

"Are you okay?" Dr. Pepper asked.

Kate then revealed, "Luke and I have been having sex since the honeymoon, and it's awkward."

Kate claimed Luke asked her not to tell anyone about their sex life, but they had slept together "about five or six times."

Kate admitted she couldn't keep her sex life a secret anymore because Luke "gets very serious after sex and quiet and doesn't want to be around me."

"Usually, he'll go into another room and just not talk to me for two hours," Kate shared with Dr. Pepper.

Kate said she didn't realize sex was such a big deal for Luke in the beginning.

"I just kind of thought, 'It's our honeymoon, we're married, I like you so far,' and so I just asked [to have sex] and then we did, and then it turned out he didn't want to," Kate told Dr. Pepper.

"He just seemed really unhappy about it, and then I just felt terrible and I feel like that really affected our sexual relationship since then."

Kate confessed Luke's reaction after sex concerned her and so she told him to only make love to her when he wants to -- not because he feels obligated to because she's his wife.

"[I said], 'I don't like how you get afterwards. I don't like that you leave the room or look unhappy.' And then he was just like, 'It's fine. It's fine.' So we end up doing it and then he ends up getting weird again even though he says he's not going to," Kate explained.

"And then I feel terrible and get really anxious because I don't know what's going on in his head or if I did something wrong, and I don't want him to be sad or uncomfortable, especially after having sex with me. I almost had a panic attack the other time because I was just like, 'Why are you being so weird?! I don't understand."

Kate told the cameras it was "difficult to not feel desired" but then have Luke "try to initiate sex."

Kate feared Luke wanted to want to have sex with his wife rather than truly wanting to.

Dr. Pepper said Luke needed to trust Kate enough to tell her how he felt and what his actions and behavior meant, and Kate hoped she and Luke could one day discuss their intimacy troubles with one or more of the experts.

The secrecy around Kate and Luke's sex life bothered Dr. Pepper because it was one-sided and not the couple deciding to be quiet about their business as a unit. Dr. Pepper could tell Kate felt constrained under Luke's demands.

Dr. Pepper said Kate needed to apologize to Luke for breaking their agreement but also explain how impossible it was to keep such a secret.

Kate wanted the marriage to work because she saw the reasons why they were watched and why they should get along so well. Kate could see themselves living a very exciting life together.

With only seven days until "Decision Day," all four couples packed up their belongings for their joint mini-moon.

Kate was afraid to bring up her conversation with Dr. Pepper to Luke because she predicted he would shut down and become angry and defensive. She feared he would give up on them and want to end their marriage.

On the way to their little vacation, Will could sense something was off between Jasmine and himself, and so he attempted to talk things out and clear the air after their self-described "awkward" kissing episode.

Jasmine said Will didn't try hard enough to do the exercise, and Will felt bad about that. Will reminded Jasmine how he had said she was a great kisser and then admitted he probably focused too much on the situation itself.

Will wished he had led with positivity because then Jasmine probably wouldn't have reacted the same way.

"I would think after six weeks of being married, my husband and I would have had sex or at least more affection, and I think that's starting to click in his mind... There is trying, and that's a good sign," Jasmine told the cameras.

Jasmine then told her husband that he talked too much.

The couples then arrived at their shared cabin in the Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania. The Married at First Sight experts hoped this would be a bonding experience for the pairs.

Keith and Kristine got to the cabin first and therefore picked the bedroom downstairs away from everyone else. Keith and Kristine looked forward to the privacy.

Kate was hoping to connect with Luke during the trip before they had to engage in a difficult conversation.

Will hoped the gathering would be fun, but at the same time, there were a lot of personalities under one roof. AJ, for instance, entered the house with attitude and predicted it was going to be "a bad weekend."

AJ was upset about the mini-moon because he was hoping to connect with Stephanie on a deeper level. He thought it was "f-cked up" they needed to share a small space and threatened to go stay in a hotel.

Stephanie figured AJ would vent and then be fine, so she just let him speak his piece, but Kate acknowledged it was "a weird vibe."

Kristine said AJ made everyone feel uncomfortable and so she went to bed, as did Stephanie.

When AJ got drunk, he admitted he signed up for Married at First Sight because he "was drunk and horny" and just hoped for a wife. Everyone was shocked by what AJ was saying, and Kate had to request a change of subject.

At one point, AJ took things too far by making fun of Luke's hairy arms and then spanking him in the butt.

Luke decided to go to bed because he wasn't adding much to the conversation and planned to run in the morning. Luke was exhausted because AJ had a lot to drink and was getting "aggressive and hostile."

AJ told Will and Jasmine he never sugarcoated anything, and then the couple also went to bed.

AJ was upset because he said the night "almost turned out to be fun."

The next morning, the energy picked up a bit from the night before and AJ worked through his feelings.

Jasmine said AJ was really lucky Stephanie went to bed early the previous night because she didn't have to watch how he was behaving.

Later that day, Luke complimented Kate on being a planner as well as very organized. They checked out a local waterfall and Luke admitted he had a good view, which just so happened to be his wife.

Luke said the waterfall was a metaphor for their relationship because it was flowing and changing. Luke was glad Kate was no longer guarded and they were having a good time.

"Luke seems like a completely different person, and that makes me happy. I just want it to last forever," Luke told the cameras.

But Kate was still worried about Luke's reaction to her conversation with Dr. Pepper. Luke asked Kate if she was holding onto anything during their trip, and she said, "No."

Kate didn't want to break Luke's trust or ruin their good time together, so she intended to tell him after the mini-moon.

Meanwhile, Stephanie and AJ took a pottery class together. She loved how AJ kept her laughing all the time, especially when life gets stressful.
