Married at First Sight brides Bao, Rachel and Brett have revealed they disagree with Michaela's surprising decision to fly home after her husband Zack tested positive for coronavirus during their honeymoon.

As shown on a previous episode of Married at First Sight's thirteenth season, Zack was feeling sick at the start of his honeymoon in the Florida Keys and ended up testing positive for COVID-19.

Given Michaela could no longer enjoy Zack's company, she decided to leave the honeymoon early and fly back to Houston, TX, by herself.

On the August 18 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still happily married to her match, Doug Hehner -- asked three of the other brides what they would have done had they been in Michaela's shoes.

"I don't know. I don't think I'd want to go home alone," Brett revealed.

"I think I'd rather have the support of the other girls and the other guys to help get me through it. That way I could still talk to [my husband] through the door or, like, you know, bring him some gifts or something and give him some soup. I don't know!"

Rachel and Bao both enthusiastically agreed and said, "Yeah!"

And then Brett elaborated, "I don't think I would leave."

Jamie said she also would have stayed in the Florida Keys and attempted to enjoy the vacation solo.

"Same thing," Rachel noted. "I've had plenty of long-distance relationships that work out just fine, so a one-week little long-distance relationship with FaceTime and the phone is totally manageable."

Bao also chimed in, "It's a real opportunity to grow your emotional intimacy because sex is off the table now! Physical intimacy is off the table, so what you have left is to focus on your emotional intimacy."

"So if anything," Bao continued, "it's a real opportunity to grow the relationship."

The three MAFS brides and Jamie also watched back a Season 13 clip of Zack explaining to Michaela, who had a negative COVID-19 test result during her honeymoon, that he didn't want to come close to her or touch her.

"That's so mean!" Michaela complains in the footage. "I don't want to be on my honeymoon by myself!"

"I'd rather you be on your honeymoon by yourself than you have COVID," Zack responds.

"I didn't do this [experiment] to be single and do single sh-t. I am married now and I can't even have my man on my honeymoon!" Michaela laments.

On Unfiltered, Bao, Rachel and Brett discussed Michaela's reaction to her husband being sick.

"It doesn't sound like she's very supportive right now," Bao admitted.

"It sounds like she's thinking more about what she wanted and what she ideally wanted on the honeymoon than being supportive of her husband being sick."

Brett suggested Zack was being "selfless in a sense" by choosing to stay away from his wife.

"I would feel the same disappointment that she's feeling because this is kind of, like, the fun part," Brett explained.

"It's just that she's kind of taking it personally, as if he doesn't want to be with her when he does. He's just like, 'I don't want you to get sick.'"

All the ladies agreed Brett was "exactly" right in thinking that.

Zack's COVID-19 diagnosis was very unfortunate since he and Michaela were smitten with each other and hit it off since Day 1 of the Married at First Sight process.

After tying the knot, the pair got along great and felt a mutual attraction, and they consummated their marriage before flying to their honeymoon.

As for the other couples, Rachel married Jose, Bao wed Johnny, and Brett exchanged vows with Ryan. Season 13 of Married at First Sight, which currently airs Wednesday nights at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime, also stars Myrla Feria and Gil Cuero.
