The Dancing with the Stars professional is leaving the show for its upcoming seventeenth edition but definitely plans to return for the following edition, Us Weekly reported.

"I will be taking the next season off from DWTS USA, so that I may accept an amazing work opportunity back home in Australia," Johnson, an Australian native who has been with the reality dancing competition for 14 seasons, told Us.

"I am excited, nervous and humbled by this chance and look forward to sharing more about it with you soon. I wish all the dancers and celebrities in Season 17 nothing but love and success and hope to see you all back on the dance floor for Season 18."

Johnson didn't elaborate on what kind of new opportunity she has taken on.

Johnson first appeared on the Australian version of Dancing with the Stars in 2004 and went on to join the U.S. show for its third season back in 2006.

She has been crowned champion twice with celebrity partners Donny Osmond in Fall 2009 and Hines Ward in Spring 2011.
