Kim Kardashian had two very difficult and high-risk pregnancies with daughter North and son Saint, but she admits that expecting her third baby via surrogate has been the hardest experience yet.

"You know, it is really different. Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong," the 37-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday.

"I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control. And, you know, obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but [still]."

Kim and Kanye's third child is reportedly due in January 2018. The couple have been keeping the identity of the surrogate a secret but maintaining "regular contact" with her.

"Knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it's hard for me. It's definitely a harder experience than I anticipated, just in the control area," Kim admitted.

"I hated being pregnant and I never thought I'd ever... I thought this was going to be so easy, but you know, even in how much I hated it, if I could do it myself, I would have preferred that."

Kim told ET that the "inner struggle is kind of hard," but she's doing everything she can to just keep "rolling with it."

"It is what it is," noted the reality TV star. "I think it is definitely a different experience and I am blessed that I am able to this, and technology is the way that it is that we can do this."

However, Kim confessed that watching someone else carry her baby is a process that takes time to digest.

"I think when you are pregnant, by the time you have the baby, you are so prepared and so ready, and now I am just like, 'Oh my God I am going to freak out because I'm not ready and I'm not prepared,' but it'll just all come into place," Kim explained.

Kim confirmed Baby No. 3 is on the way during an extended trailer E! released for Season 14 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in September, about three months after rumors began circulating she had decided to hire a surrogate.

Even though Kim doesn't have a growing baby bump for North and Saint to see and touch, she told ET that her daughter understands a baby brother or sister is coming.

"They are excited," Kim gushed of her kids.

"I mean, I don't know if they don't feel it as much because they don't see my big belly and probably hear me complaining every two seconds. But we talk about it a lot. I think my son, I don't know how he is going to react because he doesn't get it yet, but my daughter is really excited."

Kim just celebrated her tea-party themed baby shower, which featured a cherry-blossom forest, on Saturday.

The following day, Kim's half-sister Kylie Jenner threw herself a pajama-party themed baby shower, as she's reportedly expecting her first child with boyfriend and rapper Travis Scott.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian is also reportedly pregnant with her boyfriend Tristan Thompson, an Ohio-based NBA player. Neither Kylie or Khloe has yet to confirm pregnancy reports.
