Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's popular wedding photo has made history.

The couple's romantic picture, which featured the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars kissing in front of an altar and giant white rose wall in Florence after they exchanged vows in May, has become Instagram's most-liked image of all time, the Daily Mail reported.

The picture was posted by Kardashian after their ceremony at 16th-century Fort Belvedere and has since received 2.4 million "thumbs up" by Instagram users. The number of "likes" is reportedly the most of 2014 and more than any photo on Instagram has earned since the app was launched over four years ago.

As of mid-June, the nuptials photo had racked in more than 1.93 million "likes" and over 35,000 comments.

Ironically, Kardashian, 34, apparently obsessed over editing the wedding photo throughout most of her honeymoon with the rapper in Ireland.

"Let me tell you something about that kiss photo that my girl put up... this was pissing my girl off during the honeymoon, she was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much because Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding," West said at the Cannes Lions Festival in June, according to The New York Post.

"I think that she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity. I was like, 'Okay, I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz,' and we sat there and worked on that photo for, like, four days because the flowers were off-color."

The second most-liked Instagram post of 2014 was a selfie of Justin Bieber and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez. It reportedly received 1.9 million in the three months since it was uploaded. According to the Daily Mail, a photo featuring Ariana Grande backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in August placed third with 1.84 million "likes."

Instagram reportedly has more than 200 million users who share 65 million photos daily.

As a little fun fact, the most used hashtag this past year was #love.
