Kim Kardashian's lavish lifestyle is always on display, however the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star may be a bit more guarded with her personal possessions following a reported robbery.

The 27-year-old socialite and her sister Kourtney were preparing to board a Delta flight to Las Vegas at New York's JFK International Airport when she had her laptop, digital camera, and $50,000 worth of jewelry stolen out of her bags, sources close to Kim told E! News in a Tuesday report.

The two girls -- both of whom star in E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality series -- were reportedly being followed by paparazzi and fans when they stopped in JFK's Delta terminal to pose for pictures and sign autographs for several airline employees.  Kim noticed some of the more expensive items she was traveling with were missing once the crowd dispersed, according to E! News.

Delta responded by giving Kim claim tickets, according to TMZ.com, which are normally doled out when an airline loses or damages luggage.

"Delta is investigating Ms. Kardashian's claim regarding the supposed loss of valuables from her baggage," the airline said in a statement, according to E! News.

The first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which follows the entire Kardashian clan in their daily life, premiered on E! last month and has finished first among basic cable shows in its Sunday night time period in the Women 18-34 demographic, according to the network.

E! renewed Keeping Up with the Kardashians for a second season earlier this month.
