According to show sources, Griffin is set to replace Rivers on Fashion Police, TMZ reported.

Griffin, a 54-year-old comedian and actress, previously starred on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.

The replacement has reportedly been finalized so Griffin will be joining Fashion Police stars Melissa Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic. Whether George Kotsiopoulos will continue to appear on the show remains uncertain.

However, E! will be slimming down Fashion Police's broadcast schedule, according to TMZ, as the series will no longer air on a weekly basis. Instead, Fashion Police will be shown during awards show and other special occasions.

In addition to Griffin, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes was also a top contender for the role.

Fashion Police has been airing since September 2010. Its leading lady, Rivers, passed away at the age of 81 on September 4 after going into cardiac arrest during a throat procedure.
