Kate Gosselin is going to rack up the frequent flyer miles as a Dancing with the Stars celebrity participant, but at least she'll get to practice in the comfort of her own home.

"I'm going to travel back to Pennsylvania and my partner will go with me. I'm going to practice in my basement while [my kids] are home or sleeping, and when they're at home I'll go to a local studio. So the whole goal is obviously to be at home as much as I can and I'll go back and forth every week," Gosselin said during a Monday night appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"In the basement we're going to move everything and put in a little makeshift dance floor."

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will travel between her family's Wernersville, PA home and CBS Television City in Los Angeles to film Dancing with the Stars while competing on the reality series' tenth season, which premieres March 22.

"I cannot dance," she told Kimmel. "I really want to learn how to dance, so we'll see."

Gosselin has been paired with Tony Dovolani, a nine-season Dancing with the Stars veteran -- however she said he wasn't her first choice.

"I actually did suggest one person and they said that he was too quiet for me," she told Kimmel. "I don't know what they were trying to say."

In addition, Gosselin said she asked for a "miracle worker" and feels she might have received one in Dovolani.

"He's a very, very positive person, and even when I mess up really bad -- which is a lot -- he still finds something positive to say," she told Kimmel, adding they started practicing a few days ago.

While Gosselin views Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger and former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson as her biggest competition, she is determined to try her hardest.

"I am going to win," joked Gosselin before getting serious. "I'm going to give it my all. Please vote for me!"
