Niecy Nash announced on her Web site Wednesday her plans to wed her boyfriend Jay Tucker.
"Omg! I am the happiest girl in the world! I'm engaged to the most wonderful man!" Nash reported on her Web site.
"My guy is amazing! Not a perfect man, but definitely perfect for me! We went to dinner on Saturday night -- one year exactly from the day we met. The waitress, Ashley, brought us a dessert with a candle in it. She said it was for us to make a wish... Jay asked me what my wish was. I said: 'Honestly? My wish is for forever.' He then said: 'Do you know what I wish? I wish you would be my wife. Say yes, Baby.' I started crying and time stood still. When I came back to myself I had the ring on!"
Nash said she and Tucker had a barbecue Sunday and surprised their guests with the happy news.
"It was so much fun! Falling in love was easy -- planning a wedding? That's the hard part! I have no idea where to begin," she said.Nash said the wedding is expected to take place next May.
