Jimmy Kimmel apparently feels he and rapper Kanye West may need some serious counseling in order to overcome their issues on his show tonight -- and it might take awhile.

"We have a great and potentially uncomfortable show planned for tomorrow," Kimmel told his audience during Tuesday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live broadcast.

"Kanye West will be here tomorrow. Kanye and I had a disagreement a couple of weeks ago, and it got a little bit out of hand on Twitter. Tomorrow night, we will sit down and discuss it like normal people do -- on television. It'll just be us, and Dr. Phil. And neither one of us is leaving until this government shutdown is solved."

Kimmel also referenced West's interview comment in which the rapper had recently boasted to BBC Radio 1 in Britain that he had attempted to pitch the current leather jogging pants-trend to high-end fashion designers several years ago.

"So if you've always wanted to see a talk show host get strangled by a pair of leather jogging pants, tomorrow night is the night," Kimmel joked.

West and Kimmel will most likely smooth things over after West had launched a profanity-filled tirade on Twitter late last month, lashing out at the talk show host for airing a spoof of his recent egocentric interview with BBC on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In his interview with BBC, West referred to himself as "the No. 1 rock star on the planet" and put himself on the same level as the iconic Michael Jackson. Kimmel played up West's arrogant remarks by having a child read a transcript of what West had said in a music studio while humorously sipping on a milkshake in between his long-winded speeches.

West had subsequently called Kimmel and demanded the host apologize on-air for disrespecting him, but Kimmel refused -- resulting in West launching his Twitter tirade and Kimmel opting to poke fun at the rapper's offensive tweets on his show.

For example, West tweeted, "JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS... JIMMY KIMMEL, I DON'T TAKE IT AS A JOKE.... PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES -- OH NO THAT MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TOO MUCH GOOD PUSSY IN YOUR LIFE."

"I've seen the video. I know," Kimmel joked with his audience in reply, taking an apparent shot at West's girlfriend Kim Kardashian who has an infamous sex tape.

West continued to release steam the following day, as he took to Twitter again to post some additional tweets slamming Kimmel.
