Jenna Cooper and Jordan Kimball's scandal has had everyone talking since Bachelor in Paradise's fifth-season finale, including franchise host Chris Harrison.

Jenna and Jordan got engaged on Bachelor in Paradise's September 12 finale, but Jordan broke up with his fiancee just one day later due to a series of leaked text messages appearing to show Jenna was romantically involved with another man all summer long and had been dating Jordan just for money and fame.

"All I can say is that when I left them on the beach engaged, they seemed to be very much in love. The last time I saw them together was on stage at the [reunion] special that we shot, and you know, if she's faking it, she fooled me too," Chris told Entertainment Tonight.

"I don't know the validity of any of it. I don't know what has happened... because it seems to be a very fluid situation, but I hope it's not true, I truly do."

Not only did the woman appearing to be Jenna bash Jordan in the messages obtained by Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone by saying she's better than him and doesn't even like Jordan -- nevermind love him -- but she also wrote some graphic sexual things to this unidentified man.

Jenna allegedly wrote to the North Carolina-based man: "I wanted to say sorry. Don't be mad at me or anything crazy. I know you're upset about this week's episodes but... this is all for my business. You know how much I need the money. Me and Jordan aren't together for real. I don't even like him let alone love him."

Jenna allegedly added, "I'm better than him and once I'm able to, I'll break it off for good and make up some story to make him look bad if it'll make you feel better. He means nothing to me and never has... All for work and networking. You're the only one I need in my life. The only guy who interests me. I need you to love me."

Chris admitted if Jenna really sent those text messages to a guy, it was "a pretty terrible thing to do" because "Jordan is a very good guy."

"I know Jordan is very much in love with her, but then again... I don't know," Chris told ET.

Jenna has insisted the so-called leaked text messages were "fake" and "completely fabricated." She claims she never cheated on Jordan and is the victim of a "fraudulent attack" on her character.

Late last week, Jenna revealed on Instagram she is taking legal action to bring the "terrible individuals" with "hateful efforts" to ruin her relationship with Jordan to justice.

Jordan, however, previously admitted to People that he knows Jenna very well, and after reading the text messages, "in my heart, I know it's her." The screenshots, in fact, made him feel sick to his stomach.

"A lot of this stuff is going to be off camera. A lot of the conversations will take place, and we won't be shooting it," Chris told ET of Jordan and Jenna's ongoing situation. "This won't be for specials. It's just making sure these human beings are okay."

In a separate interview with E! News, Chris admitted he was "shocked at the whole thing" and didn't know what to think.

"All I can say is, 'God, I hope it's not true.' What a horrible mess and deceit," Chris noted.

As of late last week, Chris hadn't spoken to either Jordan or Jenna personally about the scandal.
