It's a step back for the event holders after they had good news with last week's addition of Fantasia's fellow "Idol" alum Ruben Studdard singing on the same night, the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reported Wednesday.

MusicFest begins July 7 with an "Old School Hip-Hop Night" at the High Falls Festival Site at Brown's Race, with DJ Marley Marl, Big Daddy Kane, Shee Gutta and Whodini.

The event moves to Frontier Field for the next two nights. July 8 features Studdard, Cheri Dennis, Avant, Cassie, Cherish, Baby Cham, Q Amey, Sincere, Scandalous, Mila J and LeToya. July 9 offers Charlie Wilson, Cameo, Heather Headley, the Emotions, K-Ci & JoJo, Kem, Doug E. Fresh, Jimmie Highsmith Jr. & Tyler Owens, the Mambo Kings and Caron Wheeler.
