Howard Stern apparently liked judging America's Got Talent enough to come back and do it again.

NBC has announced the radio personality, who judged America's Got Talent's most recent seventh season, will be returning to the judging panel for the reality talent competition's upcoming edition.

"Howard Stern's towering presence and opinions on last season's show as a new judge made a dramatic impact and added a sharper edge to the fascinating developments on stage," NBC reality chief Paul Telegdy said in a statement.

"We know that Howard believes in America's Got Talent -- which remains America's top-rated summer series -- and that dedication comes across in a genuine way to our viewers who share his passion about our amazing talent competition."

Late last month, Stern revealed he was "still working on the decision" about whether to reprise his role as a judge on the series alongside fellow judge Howie Mandel. Sharon Osbourne announced she was quitting America's Got Talent in August.

America's Got Talent's seventh season concluded in September with Olate Dogs being crowned the winning act. Simon Cowell has reportedly wanted actress and former reality TV star Carmen Electra to become a new judge on the show for awhile now.

Auditions for America's Got Talent's eighth season are currently underway.
