Lizzie Bardsley, a former contestant on the British TV series "Wife Swap," was summoned to British courtroom Friday to face charges of child cruelty.

The 32-year-old reality TV star and her husband were labeled as "scroungers" when it was made public that they received nearly $69,000 a year in benefits while they were both unemployed.
Bardsley grew in popularity after appearing in Channel 4's "Wife Swap" and the U.S. series, "Celebrity Fit Club" and "Back To Reality."
