Glocksen and Joe Ruzicka, her longtime boyfriend, tied the knot on New Years Eve at Naper Settlement's Century Memorial Chapel in Naperville, IL in front of a group of family and friends that included several former American Idol contestants, Glocksen's hometown Naperville Sun newspaper reported Wednesday.

The 24-year-old Glocksen, who finished ninth on Idol's sixth season, met the 32-year-old Ruzicka, a high school science teacher, in 2005 when she auditioned -- and became -- the lead singer in his band.

The couple became engaged in 2007 when Ruzicka popped the question to Glocksen while she was performing on American Idol's 2007 summer concert tour.

Glocksen wore an ivory and silver strapless mermaid-style Melissa Sweet dress for the music-themed ceremony, which had the quote "Music is what brought [us] together and continues to be a driving force in [our] life together" on the wedding program, according to the Sun.  She wore her hair down, with her well-known red streak accessorized with a veil she borrowed from the niece of American Idol's piano player.

Ruzicka and his groomsmen wore gray morning suits with ascots, The Sun also reported. Ruzicka added a red streak to his spiked hair as well.

Idol sixth-season champion Jordin Sparks served as one of Glocksen's eight bridesmaids, as did fellow sixth-season Idol contestant Haley Scarnato.

"At the [American Idols Live! 2007 tour] I asked all the girls [to be bridesmaids]," Glocksen told The Beacon News prior to the ceremony. "[But only] Jordin and Haley carried through with it. The others took gigs. New Year's Eve is one day you can't ask a performer to take off."

The bridal party walked down the aisle to Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" followed by U2's "With or Without You," according to The Sun, and the ceremony was presided over by Ruzicka's uncle, who became ordained specifically for the wedding.

The party after the wedding continued the evening's musical theme, with Sparks performing The Beatles "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" for the couple's first dance, Glocksen singing Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You'll Dance" for Ruzicka's dance with his mother, and Glocksen and Ruzicka performing together with their band for approximately 300 guests, The Sun reported.

Although they will delay their honeymoon until the summer, the couple reportedly planned to vacation in Wisconsin following the reception.
