The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed the actor died around 3:30AM on Wednesday morning, ABC's KTLA-TV affiliate in Los Angeles reported.  Haim was reportedly found unresponsive in his apartment and taken to a hospital in Burbank where he was eventually pronounced dead.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause of death, according to a coroner spokesperson.

Haim starred alongside Corey Feldman in The Two Coreys, which aired for two seasons on A&E in 2007 and 2008.

Haim and Feldman first crossed paths in 1987 on The Lost Boys film set and began to accumulate additional roles and grace the covers of numerous teenybopper magazines, eventually receiving the moniker "The Two Coreys."

However things later took a turn for the worse, as Feldman battled drug addiction and appeared in some box-office bombs while Haim had his own drug problems and found himself starring in several direct-to-video movies.

The Two Coreys chronicled the pair's unsuccessful attempts to reconcile their relationship and re-launch "The Two Coreys" brand they had built in the 1980s.  It ended with Feldman confronting Haim about his still-ongoing substance abuse problems and vowing to have nothing to do with him until he got clean.
