Actor Jeff Conaway was unconscious and in critical condition following an apparent drug overdose in California, his family said Wednesday.

The 60-year-old "Grease," "Taxi" and "Celebrity Rehab" star also was being treated for pneumonia at Encino Hospital Medical Center, the Los Angeles Times reported.

UsMagazine.com noted he has battled addictions to cocaine, painkillers and alcohol for decades.
