Deadliest Catch's upcoming edition will continue to document the Cornelia Marie and its captain Phil Harris, the Northwestern and its captain Sig Hansen, the Wizard and its captain Keith Colburn, and the Time Bandit and its captains Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand as they embark from Dutch Harbor, Alaska for another crab fishing season on the Bering Sea.

Discovery is billing Deadliest Catch's fifth season as the show's "deadliest" edition yet, as camera crews captured an October 22 incident in which seven fisherman from the F/V Katmai tragically lost their lives on the Bering Sea.

Deadliest Catch will document the Coast Guard's search and rescue of some of the vessel's fishermen and also feature interviews with surviving members from the crew.

Additional Deadliest Catch fifth-season highlights include Colburn escaping a close call with cancer; Harris not knowing if he'll be able to join his crew due to a leg embolism he suffered lduring last year's crabbing season; and all four captains wondering if they will receive a return on the large investment they sank into repairing their vessels last summer.

In addition, one vessel will sustain damage and its crew will "resort to extreme measures to ensure their livelihood," according to Discovery.

Prior to its fifth-season debut, Discovery Channel will air a two-hour Deadliest Catch: Best of Season Four recap special on Tuesday, April 7 at 9PM ET/PT.

Deadliest Catch is produced by Original Productions, with Thom Beers and Jeff Conroy serving as executive producers.
