Arka Mediaworks released the teaser for Baahubali: The Eternal War on Tuesday. The animated film will be released in two parts with Part One in 2027.

Set between the live-action Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, the animated film follows Amarendra Baahubali (voice of Prabhas reprising his live-action role) in the afterlife. Spoiler alert: he returns in the second live-action film.

Baahubali travels to 14 realms of existence to settle the battle between Devas and Asuras. The trailer shows Baahubali intercepting a battle between two gods on a flying carriage drawn by two elephants.

Ramya Krishna also reprises her live-action role as the voice of Shivagami. S.S. Rajamouli, director of the live-action films, will produce.

Scott Mosier writes the scripts. Animator Ishan Shukla directs and conceived the story with Sowmya Sharma.

Rajamouli spoke with UPI in October about the theatrical release of Baahubali: The Epic and indicated he had more plans for the world of Baahubali. Rajamouli is directing his next live-action film, SSMB29.
