American Idol runner-up Crystal Bowersox is engaged to be married next month to musician Brian Walker, her representative told People magazine.

The marriage will be the first for Bowersox, 25, who broke up with the father of her year-old son just hours before the Season 9 Idol finale in May.

The judge favorite is in the process of recording her debut album.
