ABC has announced the premiere of National Bingo Night, a new television show based on the popular pastime regularly played at numerous nursing homes, church halls and casinos across the country.  The six-episode series is scheduled to premiere on Friday, May 18 at 9PM ET/PT following the season finale of America's Funniest Home Videos.

In each one-hour episode of National Bingo Night, three games of Bingo are played by in-studio contestants who will try his/her luck against that of the studio audience for a chance to win cash, trips and other prizes.

As balls numbered 1 through 75 are randomly selected form a two-an-a-half story sphere in the Bingo Plex arena, viewers can also print their own Bingo cards via ABC's website to enjoy the fun of playing the game for free at home with an opportunity to win "thousands of prizes."

National Bingo Night will be hosted by British carpenter Ed Sanders, who works as part of the design team on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  The pilot episode will serve as National Bingo Night's May 18 premiere, and five additional episodes will begin filming in April.  For casting information, visit ABC's website.

National Bingo Night is executive-produced and created by Andrew Glassman for Glassman Media.
