Aaron Gibson won his The Voice battle against Sa'Rayah, but it was definitely a close call.

Aaron, a 25-year-old from Atlanta, GA, and Sa'Rayah, a 28-year-old from Chicago, IL, performed "I'll Take Care Of You" on behalf of Miley Cyrus' team. Miley said their Battle represented why she chose to join The Voice as a coach to begin with.

"For my Battle with Sa'Rayah, I definitely didn't have any idea who was going to win," Aaron told Reality TV World.

Miley admitted choosing between the two artists was the toughest decision she had to make in the "Battle Round" overall.

"Sa'Rayah and I, you know, both sing different styles and we both were a good match for the song. And we worked really hard together. And we approached it as a duet and not a Battle. And so to me, it didn't really -- it could have gone either way," Aaron explained.

Miley ultimately decided to keep Aaron on her team because she could coach him the best going forward. However, Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton both attempted to steal Sa'Rayah, who then chose to join "Team Alicia."

"I think her being as good of a singer as she is kind of brought out the best in me and, you know, Miley saw something in that," Aaron said.

"I wouldn't have been surprised if, you know, the tables were turned and [Miley] took her instead. It was such a close call in my opinion and it comes down to personal preference."

The Voice's eleventh-season "Knockout Round" kicks off Monday, October 24 at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
