90 Day: The Last Resort star Sumit Singh has shed more light on his wife Jenny Slatten's recent struggles amid her ongoing battle with ALS.

Sumit explained how Jenny is also "losing strength in her backbone and neck," after which Jenny, 68, clarified she's experiencing weakness in her spine.
"It's making it harder for Jenny to balance while she's walking or doing anything," Sumit said.
Sumit and Jenny -- who began starring on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way in 2019 and have appeared on multiple spinoffs of the TLC reality show since -- told People in May that Jenny was diagnosed with ALS in December 2025, one year after she started experiencing symptoms.
"Earlier, she was doing good. It's progressing," Sumit noted.
Ever since Jenny was diagnosed, Sumit has served as her full-time caregiver in India.
Jenny's daughter Christina revealed in late July on Instagram that Sumit had started the process to obtain an "emergency tourist spousal visa" so that they can both come to the United States and Jenny can receive more treatment "using her insurance."
Christina shared at the time, "We have applied... only for a tourist visa. It's a lot longer of a process to try to get a green card, especially right now."
"We were thinking that if we come to America, I don't know, we can get proper treatment... I always keep my hopes high, and I always feel that America might have something better for Jenny and she can get at least a better support system," Sumit explained.

Sumit claimed the level a person can receive treatment for ALS in India does not compare with what the United States has to offer.
RELATED LINK: '90 DAY FIANCE' COUPLES NOW"If you go to an expensive hospital, you might get a little bit of extra knowledge on this, but mostly, it's not much," Sumit said, adding that most doctors "don't have very much experience" with this neurodegenerative disease.
Sumit added how Jenny "is getting weaker" and will probably "be on some kind of support system" in the near future.
"[As for] my visa, our plan was to get the visa, and I'll travel with Jenny and go [to America] and start the treatment. Even if it's taking time, I can come back to India," Sumit said.
But Sumit confirmed that he has yet to be approved for a visa to travel to the U.S.
"If I don't get the visa, it means that we will be apart forever," Sumit said. "This is a reason why Jenny doesn't want to go to America without me.”
Jenny, for her part, shared how India is her "home" and she didn't want to leave her country without her husband.
"We love each other, and yeah, obviously I want Jenny to start getting treated and I want Jenny to start feeling better or at least [have] a support system that makes [her] at least feel like, not, struggle every day," Sumit explained.
Sumit expressed fear he and Jenny are going to be ripped apart.

Sumit is hoping to get some help after watching fellow 90 Day Fiance alum Armando Rubio successfully travel from Mexico to Arizona for his daugher Hannah's recent medical crisis.
"I hope someone will come up with a solution," Sumit noted, adding, "I am trying to take care of her, and I don't think anyone can do that better than me."
Sumit captioned one of the videos, "We're sharing our appeal, what we're asking for, and how you can help us during this difficult time."
Meanwhile, Sumit and Jenny have been collecting donations via GoFundMe.
Sumit explained in a June Instagram video that the couple has been "struggling" financially and he needs money to make Jenny's life "as easy as possible" as she continues to battle ALS.
Sumit previously said his goal is to make sure Jenny -- who has three daughters with ex-husband Ralph Edwards -- is doing well and that it's not practical for Jenny to stay with her daughters in America.
"If she needs me, I try to be available, and if we go to America, she has her daughters, but they have their own family and their own life," Sumit said.
"And I don't want to be a burden," Jenny interjected.
In the comments section, Jenny's daughters wrote at the time, "Mom, please know you are never a burden. I would love to have you here and that's what us children are for but I know you won't be happy and you want to be with your husband, I get it 100% but I just wanted you to know don't ever think you would be a burden in my life."
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease can cause muscle weakness, loss of mobility and difficulty speaking.
Jenny's speaking has already slowed drastically based on her participation in the Instagram videos.
