The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? couples who previously starred on the spinoff's sixth season are Elizabeth and Andrei, Angela and Michael, and Yara and Jovi.

Jenny and Sumit previously appeared on all three seasons of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, which follows American citizens moving to foreign countries for the sake of love.

In a departure from 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s original premise -- which was continuing to follow the lives of couples who married after the American resident's foreign partner came to the United States on a K-1 visa -- Usman and Kim are not married, and neither are Ed and Liz (nor is Liz even a foreigner).

Jenny and Sumit are in fact married, but their wedding or ceremony never aired on TLC. In addition, the couple are also not living in America but in India, Sumit's home country.

Kim and Usman appeared on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days and the season showed Kim traveling overseas to meet Usman in person for the first time. Usman also previously appeared on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days with his prior American partner Lisa Hamme, whom he married in the show's season finale.

Ed and Liz previously appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life on discovery+.

"As these couples navigate the next chapter of their relationships, they'll be put to the test on everything from emotional affairs to disapproving family to immigration issues. With these couples kissing the honeymoon stage goodbye, are they headed toward happily ever after or happily never after?" TLC teased of the new Happily Ever After? season.

Below is what happened on Episode 9 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s seventh season.

JOVI and YARA

Jovi returned from work and he and Yara were excited to travel to Europe together to see Yara's family, including her mother, whom Yara hadn't seen in two-and-half years.

Yara was thrilled to get out of New Orleans for a bit, but Jovi's mother Gwen was sad to see her daughter-in-law so excited since there was a war going on in Ukraine. While Yara and Jovi weren't going to stay in Ukraine, she was still nervous.

There was also a little part of Gwen that worried Yara may want to stay in Europe and not return to the U.S. And Yara had no idea how Europe had changed, so she was scared.

When Yara and her mom Olga reunited at the airport in Prague, Yara's mother brought flowers and was sobbing in her daughter's arms. The couple's daughter Mylah was sleeping like an angel, and Olga said she looks like Jovi. Olga hoped Yara would eventually stay with her in Prague.

Jovi, Yara, and Olga then headed to a nearby hotel where they'd be staying. Jovi looked forward to having a few drinks and a fun time, but Yara admitted she was very tired.

Yara told her mom that once the war is over, she'd like to visit Kyiv. She wanted to help her friends who were in "a really horrible situation."

KIM and USMAN

Usman's family accused Kim of bribing them with a cow, which they thought was disrespectful. Kim thought the meeting was going horribly, and she didn't know what she could do to receive Usman's mother Fadimatu's approval and blessing.

Kim said she wished they would get to know her and how "dare" they accuse her of a bribe. Kim said she's a great person who loved Usman, even though she's not the perfect woman for her.

Usman assured his family that the cow was a gift Kim had wanted to give them, but Kim believed they were talking to a brick wall. Kim felt stereotyped and told the cameras she's not like his American ex-wife.

Kim said she'd be willing to allow Usman to have a second wife, which was a huge sacrifice for her, but Fadimatu said she wouldn't mind Usman marrying an older woman as long as he wed a young fertile girl first for the sake of their religion.

Fadimatu wanted her son to respect their traditions, and she was afraid he'd run off with Kim instead of staying with the second wife.

Usman was told if he marries "an outsider," he must marry a Hausa girl first. The family then apologized to Kim and asked her to leave. Usman said he never expected his mother's response to be so "hard," and Kim explained how she didn't want to be a second wife.

"There's no chance. What's the point?" Kim cried in a confessional.

Usman found the situation very "frustrating" but he tried to cheer Kim up on the way back to her hotel.

Kim said her family and friends would've never judged Usman the way Usman's relatives had judged her, and she didn't feel like she had been given a fair chance. She never anticipated the environment would feel "so hostile."

Usman explained to Kim how he couldn't go against his culture but he really loved her and wanted to be with her. Usman told Kim that he couldn't go against his mother, but Kim said their relationship was over as a result because she couldn't be his second wife.

"I would be anybody's second anything," Kim complained, adding how she always came second in previous relationships and she was t going to let that happen again.

Kim said even if Usman proposed to her with a giant diamond engagement ring, she would still say "no" because she knows her worth and won't come second in his life to another woman.

Usman suggested they should brainstorm other options, and Kim agreed. But Usman apparently thought Kim would eventually give in to being a second wife as long as Usman wouldn't leave her.

"I promise I will come up with something," Usman told Kim.

The next day, Kim and Usman weren't sure how to proceed. Usman asked Kim to compromise for him, but Kim repeated how she was never going to be his second wife.

Usman thought Kim's refusal to be his second wife was a slap in the face because he bragged about how he could be with "beautiful and sexy women."

"I'm rejecting them because I feel it shouldn't be about beauty. It should be [about] love," Usman said.

"So I'm ugly now?" Kim asked. "So maybe you should go be with them."

Kim walked away from Usman, who said if they broke up, he'd have no regrets. Usman said Kim would regret breaking up with him more because she couldn't even give him a child.

Usman claimed he truly loved Kim and so the only thing he'd be missing out on is true love. Kim went off and cried and said that Usman didn't deserve her love or efforts.

"F-ck him for saying that," Kim cried, adding how Usman would never find a kinder and more loyal partner.

Kim determined that maybe she didn't even care to have his mother's blessing anymore.

ED and LIZ

Liz was shown staying at a friend's place because Ed had accused her of hooking up with a girl. Liz said it sucked her fiance didn't believe her and she had thrown her engagement ring into somebody's yard. Liz planned to look for the ring just because Ed had spent so much money on it.

"I'm just going to give my ring back to Ed. I don't think I can do this anymore," Liz told her pal on the phone, adding, "I don't know if this ring will ever have meaning again."

Liz knew Ed was going to have a hard time finding true love again, and she just wished she could be there for him.

Liz told her best friend that she felt hurt, and the friend thought she deserved so much better and that Ed walked all over her. Liz called her romance "a joke," and she noted how she'd probably be better off single.

"I am starting to second guess being in this relationship. If Ed and I break up over this, I definitely think it's over for good. I really don't know where we go from here," Liz cried in a confessional.

Ed later told the cameras how he had asked Liz to get rid of the woman in question, a "toxic person," from her life. Ed said he had cut out his mother and daughter from his life for Liz, but Liz insisted she had never betrayed his trust.

"You told me when you were drunk the other night that you would rather sleep with Alex and f-ck her than me!" Liz shouted.

But Ed argued that Liz had told him similar things.

"I only told you that you have a small d-ck. That's all I said... not that I'd go screw someone else. You accuse me of something because you're insecure and you're always going to be that way," Liz said.

"If I'm with the right woman, I'm not insecure. You're obviously not the right woman," Ed said.

Liz said Ed never should have put a ring on her finger if that's the case, and then she asked him to leave her room.

"I'm happy to leave," Ed noted. "Liz, have a nice life."

Ed told the cameras that maybe he had moved too fast and rushed the engagement when he was feeling vulnerable after his dog's passing.

"I think I made a big mistake," Ed acknowledged. "It's pretty much over."

Liz told the cameras that Ed hadn't changed for her whereas she was always making changes for him. She said she didn't feel like Ed's equal.

Meanwhile, Ed cried about how he'd have no one left in his life other than his dogs if he and Liz really broke up.

BILAL and SHAEEDA

Bilal and Shaeeda were shown doing their first of five prayers on the first day of Ramadan, a time of fasting -- from food, water and sex -- from sun up to sun day so they always have God on their mind.

They were going to break their fast that evening, and so Shaeeda invited Bilal's family to celebrate with them. But as Shaeeda cooked a meal for that night, she and Bilal had some miscommunication.

Shaeeda also said having a child was a "forbidden topic" for them at that time. Shaeeda accused Bilal of using Ramadan as an excuse to not talk about her fertility issues and how she wanted to try for a baby sooner rather than later.

"It's time to put the gloves on and show him how serious this is for me," Shaeeda told the cameras.

That night, Bilal mentioned at the dinner table how he'd like to wait two or three more years -- before Shaeeda turns 40 -- to have a baby.

But Shaeeda shared with Bilal's sister and mother how she didn't have many eggs left, according to a gynecologist, and she'd probably have to try for a baby soon in order to have one.

Shaeeda told them that while Bilal said he wanted more children, his actions spoke otherwise since she may not be able to get pregnant before turning 40.

Bilal's sister, who welcomed a baby at age 43, felt for Shaeeda, and Bilal's mother pointed out how this situation could be very bad if Shaeeda and Bilal couldn't come to an agreement.

"I can't take this any longer. Bilal needs to fight his fears and face the music. It's either we have this conversation now about my fertility problem or there might not be a 'later' to have this conversation," Shaeeda said.

JENNY and SUMIT

Sumit was getting ready to meet his family out somewhere after his honeymoon with Jenny. The couple was back to reality, and Sumit was hoping to help his parents understand his love for Jenny and finally accept their marriage. Jenny chose not to join Sumit for the gathering.

Sumit missed when his parents called him at least once a week, but Jenny called this meeting "a waste of time." She didn't think Sumit's parents would ever like or accept her.

Sumit, however, had given his parents some time to cool down, and he wasn't about to let his parents go. He said his efforts would never cease.

Sumit then met his brother Amit and his wife as well as Sumit's aunt Surat. Sumit's parents refused to show up, and Sumit seemed very upset and hurt.

Sumit said he was "shocked" because he'd have to talk to his parents through his aunt. He immediately knew there was no improvement in his relationship with his parents.

Surat told the cameras how Sumit's mother was in "extreme distress" and she was constantly crying. Surat couldn't believe Sumit had married an older woman without his parents' permission.

Sumit's loved ones clearly didn't like how Jenny couldn't give birth to a child and how Sumit would have to take care of her as a senior citizen early in life. Sumit told Surat to accept his choices because he was extremely unhappy in his previous marriage.

Sumit knew his life would be easier with another woman, but he said he wouldn't be as happy.

Sumit said his first arranged marriage had cost him a lot of pain and trauma, and then he promised to have children in the future. Sumit, however, hadn't talked to Jenny about this before, and Sumit's brother was skeptical how Jenny would take care of a kid at her age.

Sumit acknowledged how he could adopt a child in order to have a child or explore surrogacy as an option. Sumit said this is something he would do for his parents in order to make them happy and have them accept him. Surat said his relationship with his parents was in his own hands.

When Sumit returned home, he was afraid to tell Jenny how bad the talk actually went because he didn't want Jenny to think even worse things about his family. Sumit said the drama was not going to stop, and then Jenny determined it was time to move to America.

Jenny said it made no sense to stay in India for Sumit's parents because what she was doing to them wasn't fair or right. Jenny insisted their life would be better in America, especially considering her daughters and grandkids are there and they all accept of Sumit.

"I think it's time for Sumit to make a sacrifice for me now and move to America and see how life will be without his parents," Jenny said.

But Sumit said the problem would still remain, even if they moved somewhere else. Jenny said maybe it would make Sumit's parents realize that they could truly lose their son. Jenny said she liked India but was struggling with his family.

Sumit, however, said he didn't want to move to America. He thought the situation would be even worse if Jenny took him away from his parents. Sumit thought having a kid would help the situation, but he didn't know how Jenny was going to react.

ANGELA and MICHAEL

Angela was shown yelling at Michael, calling him "wrong."

Angela said she only talked to Michael because Renee had asked her to give Michael a chance to right his wrongs.

But Michael refused to show Angela his phone, which made her think he was scamming her or cheating on her. Angela said she still loved him but Michael needed to own up to what he had done.

"You know I love you," Michael said.

"No, I don't know you love me!" Angela shouted.

Michael told the cameras that Angela only told one side of the story and was making him look bad. He then explained to Angela how he used social media for influencing and to make money. Michael said he wanted to have an income and make money, but Angela repeated, "No."

Michael wanted to make his own money and take care of his family, but Angela wanted to keep sending Michael money instead.

"F-ck you and your g-damn money, b-tch! You are untrustable!" Angela yelled.

Angela said in a confessional how Michael had blocked her on social media and so he must have been flirting with other women. She also claimed Michael lacks charisma and wouldn't have a future influencing anyway.

Michael pointed out how Angela had done "duets" with another man on social media, and Angela admitted she had wanted to make Michael feel jealous because she wasn't feeling loved by him.

Angela told Michael how his visa was close to being approved but she had considered pulling it and filing for divorce.

Michael thought it was ridiculous Angela considered breaking up with him over Instagram, but Angela said she wanted Michael to be with her only because he loved her.

Michael repeated how he loved his wife, but she clapped back, "Then you'll show me."

Angela demanded Michael take his Instagram down because of the problems it was causing for their relationship.

Angela told Michael, "If you want to be an opportunist, then do that -- but you won't do it with me."

Angela gave Michael one night to take his Instagram down.

Michael had been waiting a long time for his visa, but he wanted his voice to be heard and not to be a silent partner. Michael worried about Angela treating him poorly in the U.S., and he wondered if he should just let his wife go and start over as a single man.
