The couple's son was reportedly born weighing 6.9 pounds, and he measured 19.7 inches long.

"I'm very happy, very excited. I'm also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right," Paul, 35, told Us.

"Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a dad. Anyone can make a baby, but going through the day-to-day process of being a father is going to be a new experience. I'm very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure I do my absolute best for Pierre."

Karine reportedly suffered from labor complications, as Paul previously reached out to fans on social media for support and prayers.

"I am fine, and happy, even with the hard time I have had," Karine, 23, told the magazine.

"And I am recovering well, but I am still very weak. It was super hard, but now everything is fine because the baby is calm and he is breastfeeding well."

Paul from Louisville, KY, and Karine from Brazil first appeared on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. The pair wed in 2017 in a ceremony that aired in 2018.

Paul and Karine announced they had a baby on the way in October 2018, which is the same month when fans learned the child's sex and Karine's name choice.

Paul initially didn't like the name Pierre Martins Staehle because the initials are "PMS" and he didn't want his son to be bullied in school when he's older.

Karine got pregnant after two heartbreaking miscarriages, one of which was documented on Season 2 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days.

"The first miscarriage was very early on," Paul told Us in November 2018.

"We weren't really that attached. Right after that second miscarriage went through, we got pregnant again. It was like, boom, boom. That was the one everyone saw on TV."

Paul continued at the time, "The next pregnancy, she was actually prescribed birth control, and she was taking a supplement to feel better. We were supposed to wait six months to a year. So, we were going to wait, give it time in regards to that. We've actually heard things where if we had the baby within six months it's actually better. I was like, 'Okay, whenever you're ready.'"

Paul said Karine then got pregnant within a few months.

90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days showed the couple going through many ups and downs, including Karine threatening to divorce her husband shortly after saying "I do," but the pregnancy apparently brought them closer together.
