VH1 to debut Brooke Hogan's new 'Brooke Knows Best' series July 13

By Christopher Rocchio, 05/30/2008

VH1 has announced Brooke Knows Best, a spin-off of the network's Hogan Knows Best reality series that will follow the family's daughter as she embarks into the world on her own, will premiere Sunday, July 13 at 10PM ET/PT.

VH1 ordered Brooke Knows Best in January, and the series will follow the 20-year-old as she lives life sans her currently separated protective parents -- Terrence "Hulk Hogan" Boella and Linda Marie Boella -- for the first time.

In order to do so, Brooke has relocated from Pinellas County to Miami where she'll manage her singing career and finances on her own and attempt to avoid the pitfalls of the city's nightlife.

Joining Brooke in the series will be her two roommates, Ashley and Glenn -- and despite her best efforts to leave mom and dad behind, they'll also make appearances to check on their daughter.

Hogan Knows Best first premiered in July 2005 and subsequently aired four seasons.

Last August, Brooke's 17-year-old brother Nick was allegedly street-racing his father's 1998 Toyota Supra when he lost control and hit a raised median, spinning the vehicle and causing its rear end to strike a palm tree.

Nick's front-seat passenger -- former U.S. Marine John Graziano -- spent several weeks in critical condition in a medically-induced coma.  Graziano suffered a broken skull and is expected to need lifelong care that will probably require he spend the remainder of his life in a nursing home.

Following a more than two month investigation by police, Nick was arrested on charges of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury; using a motor vehicle in commission of a felony; being a driver under 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of 0.02% or higher; and having illegal window tinting.

He was sentenced earlier this month to eight months in jail after he pleaded no contest to reckless driving.  He also received five years of probation and surrendered his driving privileges for three years.

Graziano's lawyers have also filed a lawsuit, alleging three counts of negligence on the part of Hulk and one count each on Linda and Nick.
