TLC has announced Kate Plus 8 will return with new episodes beginning Monday, April 4 at 10PM ET/PT.

The one-hour April 4 broadcast will feature Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin and her eight children flying to Australia and ringing in the 2011 New Year in Sydney and then follow the family as they visit beaches and meet Australian aboriginals and learn about aboriginal culture.

In addition, viewers will see Kate take a boat out into the ocean to "swim" with sharks from the protection of a shark cage and the Kate Plus 8 star -- who struggled when she and her children went camping with Sarah Palin's Alaska star Sarah Palin in Alaska last summer -- once again attempting to spend the night sleeping outdoors in tents with her kids.

The Australian adventures were part of a recent overseas trip in which Kate and her children reportedly spent early January in Australia and New Zealand to film upcoming episodes of Kate Plus 8. 

Kate's ex-husband Jon Gosselin did not accompany his family on the overseas trip, which reportedly lasted until mid-January.
