Rosie O'Donnell, a co-host of ABC's "The View," says she has been offered a full-time role on the hit U.S. cable TV series, "Nip/Tuck."

The actress, who previously appeared on the FX network series as Dawn Budge, said "Nip/Tuck" producers have offered her the female lead on the show, "Access Hollywood" reported.
She said the move was due to the fact that actress Joely Richardson, who has played Julia McNamara on the series for four seasons, is taking a yearlong break from filming.
The role on the plastic surgery drama would require a 15-week shoot in Los Angeles and O'Donnell said her limited contract with "The View" would likely not cause a scheduling conflict.
O'Donnell said she wasn't sure if she was ready to take on the full-time position, but "Access Hollywood" said her manner made it appear she is strongly considering it.
