Now that filming has wrapped and Gerry is about to watch his love story unfold on TV, the 72-year-old retired restaurateur from Indiana has hinted that he's very happy with the outcome of the show.

During a Wednesday appearance on Good Morning America, Gerry was flat out asked if he found love.

"Well, if I didn't, would I be sitting here smiling from ear to ear?!" Gerry teased with a huge smile across his face. "I can't tell you I did, though."

Gerry previously dropped a clue about his season's ending in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"This is a great day, isn't it?" Gerry said, once again showing that he's full of joy and may currently be in love.

"I'm so pleasantly surprised by how things ended, there's absolutely no regrets."

Gerry has gushed to multiple media outlets about how his cast of women was "elegant," "confident," and even "supportive" of one another.

"I think [they were] the sweetest women I've ever met in my life!" Gerry boasted.

Gerry complimented ABC's casting department for doing "an awesome job" in their search for his perfect match.

"There's a variety of women, but they're all very elegant [and] very attractive," Gerry recently told TV Insider.

"And through some conversations, they all have very similar values to me, particularly [regarding] their attachment to family, which is huge for me."

Gerry also said he didn't have to worry about a woman trying to launch a TV career or gain more Instagram followers, which is often a contestant's motive on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

A bachelor or bachelorette having questionable intentions on The Bachelor franchise is why the "on the show for the wrong reasons" phrase was coined.

"All I have to focus on is their reaction to me and my emotional reaction to them. Can't say that it makes the job simpler, but it does streamline it," Gerry shared.

Gerry has certainly been in love before, and so he was hoping to find the second love of his life.

Gerry had signed up to be The Golden Bachelor star well after losing his high school sweetheart and late wife, Toni Turner, to complications from a bacterial infection in 2017.

Toni had given birth to two daughters, Angie and Jenny, and Gerry now has two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton.

When asked if Gerry's daughters had a say in his final pick, Gerry admitted, "I love them more than anybody on this earth, but they're not going to have any input on my partner for the rest of my life."

"The upside is they are so gracious that it doesn't matter who I bring home -- they will accept her," he added.

Gerry, however, told TV Insider that he's not looking for a Toni 2.0.

"The parts I'd like to find are character, values, and the ability to be an equal partner. But I've cautioned myself and I'm pretty firm with the rule that I'm not going to make those comparisons," Gerry explained.

He elaborated, "It's an altogether different game at 70 than with your high school sweetheart."

If Gerry is in love and has found his person, he's apparently open to getting married again.

It's possible Gerry may have even gotten engaged on The Golden Bachelor!

"Oh, sure. That's a very realistic possibility," Gerry candidly shared of getting engaged again.

"Let's face it, you get to 72, the clock ticks a lot faster than when you're 20. If I'm going to enjoy the rest of my life, I don't want to waste time. I want to find my girl and move on."
