Gerry, a 72-year-old retired restaurateur from Indiana, was announced as The Golden Bachelor's star in July and his "golden" bachelorettes were revealed by ABC late last month.

"The women arriving at the mansion have a lifetime of experience, living through love, loss and laughter, hoping for a spark that ignites a future full of endless possibilities," ABC has teased of the new The Bachelor spinoff.

Gerry has gushed to media outlets about how his cast of women was "elegant," "confident," and even "supportive" of one another.

"I think [they were] the sweetest women I've ever met in my life!" Gerry boasted to Good Morning America.

Gerry complimented ABC's casting department for doing "an awesome job" in their search for his perfect match.

"There's a variety of women, but they're all very elegant [and] very attractive," Gerry recently told TV Insider.

"And through some conversations, they all have very similar values to me, particularly [regarding] their attachment to family, which is huge for me."
