TBS to celebrate George Steinbrenner with 'Seinfeld' broadcasts

TBS says it will celebrate the life of George Steinbrenner by airing "Seinfeld" episodes featuring Larry David as the iconic New York Yankees owner.

Steinbrenner died Tuesday of a heart attack. He was 80.

The 10 episodes of "Seinfeld" featuring a fictionalized version of Steinbrenner are to air Monday through Friday next week.

"The week will kick off with 'The Opposite,' the fifth-season finale in which George Costanza (Jason Alexander) lands a job with the Yankees," TBS said in a news release Friday.

"The tribute will close out with 'The Muffin Tops' episode, in which George loses his job when Steinbrenner trades him for new chicken concessions at Yankee Stadium."
