Scientists at the University of St. Andrews' Perception Lab in Scotland have developed a computer generated portrait of Elvis Presley at age 70.

Presley died at age 42 in 1977, but had he lived he would have been 70 Saturday, and the researchers replicated the effects of aging the King's skin texture and hairline, but not the color of his raven hair, the BBC reported.
"Elvis, in common with many celebrities, may have chosen to use artificial hair and hair color," said Professor David Perrett, who used computer software to produce the aged Elvis.
"While plastic surgery is often used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, the underlying skin texture and blotchy appearance may still give away the age of a person's face."
Several of Presley's previous hits are being re-released in 2005 -- "Jailhouse Rock" is set to top the U.K. singles chart Sunday.
