Santa Claus and the children who line up to sit on his lap are being shielded from the Victoria's Secret Christmas display at a Virginia mall.

Some parents had complained about the view from Santa's lap at the Valley View Mall in Roanoke, Va., which included a mannequin dressed in hot pink and black lace underwear and a pink Santa Claus hat. The Victoria's Secret window also had "Give Me Sexy" across it.

Now, Santa is separated from Victoria's Secret by a black velvet curtain.

"We want to keep everybody happy," Mandy York, a spokeswoman for Valley View, told the Roanoke Times. "Now, they can't see the window display."

Some parents didn't mind the window.

"If you don't want your child to see it, turn the channel," said Shannon Somers, who was waiting with her 2-year-old son to see Santa. She suggested that children young enough to want to visit Santa aren't old enough to know what Victoria's Secret is.
