Last rites have been administered to ailing U.S. actress Farrah Fawcett, said a posting on what describes itself as "the official blog for Farrah Fawcett."

The 62-year-old "Charlie's Angels" and "The Burning Bed" actress has been battling cancer for about three years.

"Farrah is holding on and has been given last rites," said a Wednesday posting on Hitman PR's blog, which carries a heading that describes it as the "official blog for Farrah Fawcett... and Greg Lott, Farrah's business partner and friend, written by Allen S. Miller, publicist, Hitman Public Relations."

"Farrah is in intensive care and is supported by Catholic priests, consistent with her faith," the Web site said. "It is time now to make contact with your God and say a prayer."

TMZ said Wednesday night Fawcett is "reportedly close to death" and her family members are gathering to say their final goodbyes.

Contacted by TMZ regarding the actress' condition, Fawcett's publicist said only, "She continues to be treated for her condition."

Another message on hitmanpr.blogspot.com claimed Ryan O'Neal, Fawcett's longtime actor beau, has enlisted his lawyers to have the Hitman PR blog taken down.

"After I published the 'Open Letter to Ryan O'Neal,' we started hearing from his attorneys. It is obvious; Mr. O'Neal does not want the truth of his activities known to the world," said the Web posting. "Regardless of Mr. O'Neal, we will continue on... sometimes battles are not fought in a straight line. I will keep you updated to our progress and any news concerning Farrah."

Tuesday's open letter to O'Neal accused him of disrespecting the actress' father and his wife, propositioning young women and carrying on a sexual relationship with Fawcett's friend Alana Stewart in Fawcett's house.
