NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution has sold Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise to NBC and Hearst television station groups as a one-hour daily syndicated program to begin airing in Fall 2010, Broadcasting & Cable reported Wednesday citing multiple sources.

The Real Housewives is being offered on an all-barter basis in which the stations and NBC Universal will each sell seven-and-a-half minutes of commercials in each hour-long episode, according to Broadcasting & Cable, which added the syndicator is now pitching the show to other station groups.

NBC Universal would neither comment nor confirm on the deal when contacted by Broadcasting & Cable.

The Real Housewives of Orange County premiered in Spring 2006 on Bravo -- which is owned by NBC Universal.  Bravo subsequently launched three spinoff series -- The Real Housewives of New York City, which debuted in Spring 2008; The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which debuted in Fall 2008; and The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which premiered earlier this year.

In addition, Bravo is currently developing The Real Housewives of D.C, which will follow a group of women who live in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.  A premiere date has yet to be announced.

By the time it is expected to go into syndication next fall, Bravo will have produced more than 100 episodes of the reality franchise's various editions.
