According to updated in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, Tuesday night’s 9-10 PM ET telecast of the second week of “Last Comic Standing” (3.5 rating, 10 share among adults 18-49, 8.6 million viewers overall) delivered a 25 percent increase over the network’s 18-49 slot result for the same Tuesday last year. The stand-up comedy competition, created and hosted by Jay Mohr, finished a close #2 for its time period in 18-49 and conquered the hour among adults, men and women 18-34, men 18-49, men 25-54 and total viewers.

From its first half-hour to its second, “Last Comic’s” 18-49 rating grew by a powerful 22 percent (to a 3.9/11 from a 3.2/9).

The ratings news isn't all good however -- the 8.6 million total viewers for this week's episode is a significant drop from the 9.7 million viewers that the series drew last week during its special double-episode premiere.
