Paula Abdul threatens legal action over ABC's upcoming 'Idol' report

"American Idol" judge Paula Abdul may sue ABC News over a "Primetime Live" report on the hit Fox TV talent show, it was reported Wednesday.

ABC will air its hour-long investigation next Wednesday immediately after the live broadcast of "American Idol."
ABC says the report, which reportedly will probe ties between contestants and judges, will "explore explosive claims about behind-the-scenes activities at the show."
Abdul's lawyer sent a letter to ABC News threatening legal action, the New York Post said Wednesday.
The finale for the fourth season of "American Idol" is set for May 24th.
Fox is a division of News Corp., which also owns the New York Post.
