Oxygen has announced it is developing three new reality series -- Hair Battle Spectacular, House of Glam and Jersey Couture -- all of which are currently slated to debut in the spring as the network expands to two nights of original programming.
"We are unveiling a robust development slate filled with new content that expands into a variety of genres and formats," said Oxygen programming executive Amy Introcaso-Davis.
"We're continually listening to our audience and our goal, as always, is to give viewers a spectrum of choice across a diverse line up of exciting concepts."
Hair Battle Spectacular will feature 10 fantasy hair design artists as they live together and compete against each other in a series of challenges designed to see who can create the most over-the-top coif.
One contestant will be eliminated at the conclusion of each episode, with the winner receiving a $100,000 prize.
The tentatively-titled series is being produced by 3 Ball Productions with J.D. Roth, Todd Nelson and Adam Greener serving as executive producers.
House of Glam will document the wardrobe, hair, and makeup stylists at B. Lynn Group -- one of the hottest styling agencies in the entertainment business.
The tentatively-titled series will follow the agency's founder and CEO, Brandi Simpkins, and her team as the travel to different events -- including the Grammy Awards and New York Fashion Week -- to work their styling magic on clients.
House of Glam is being produced by Left/Right Inc. and The Foundry Media Group with Banks Tarver, Ken Druckerman, Brandi Simpkins and Charles Suitt serving as executive producers.
Jersey Couture will document the Scali family and their Diane and Co. dress shop -- which is billed by Oxygen as "the premiere glamour stop in New Jersey" -- as they outfit and accessorize girls of all ages for special events such as proms and weddings.
The tentatively-titled series is being produced by Magilla Entertainment.
