A U.S. serviceman surprised his girlfriend with a marriage proposal during the dolphin show at Brookfield Zoo in suburban Chicago, WMAQ-TV reported Friday.

The couple were at the zoo's Seven Seas Show Thursday when they were called from the audience to help the dolphin trainers. Tim Brokaw arranged ahead of time to have an engagement ring placed in the food container handed to Heather Walker.
After the container was opened, Brokaw got down on one knee and made an old-fashioned proposal. Walker said, "Yes," and showed the ring to the crowd.
Brokaw said his fiance is going to veterinarian school and "is all about animals," which is why he decided to pop the question at the zoo.
"I wanted to make sure it was special for her," he said.
Brokaw said the couple will move to Phoenix near the Luke Air Force base after the wedding. The date hasn't yet been set.
