Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino reportedly filming his own reality show

By Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, 04/26/2013

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's movie plans apparently haven't worked out so he's staying focused on reality TV.

According to sources close to the Jersey Shore star, Sorrentino has hinted he's begun shooting his own reality show, TMZ reported.

The alleged new series will feature Sorrentino and members of his family living in New Jersey. While it's unclear whether a network has ordered the show, the house Sorrentino is renting during production is reportedly next door to the location where fellow former Jersey Shore cast members Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley filmed their Snooki & Jwoww reality series.

Snooki & Jwoww which was recently renewed by MTV for a third season.

In February 2011, before Jersey Shore's fourth installment had been filmed in Italy, Sorrentino said his reality TV days were numbered.

"Maybe another year or so of reality, and then I'm gonna graduate to movies," Sorrentino told E! News at the time.

"It's like Michael Jordan. There's only so long you can keep winning them rings. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be in a movie. There's only so long you can rule the reality world. You gotta move on and try something different."
