'Jersey Shore' star The Situation planning to leave reality for movies

By Elizabeth Kwiatkowski, 02/07/2011

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's 2011 Jersey Shore adventures may be his last.

"Maybe another year or so of reality, and then I'm gonna graduate to movies," Sorrentino told E! News at a Superbowl event in Dallas on Friday. "It's like Michael Jordan. There's only so long you can keep winning them rings."

"Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be in a movie. There's only so long you can rule the reality world. You gotta move on and try something different."

The Jersey Shore star and recent Dancing with the Stars participant said his passion for entertaining is behind his desire to move onto bigger and better things.

"I love to be in front of the camera; I love performing; I love entertaining so movies is definitely the next step," Sorrentino explained.

MTV has announced it will film the fourth season of Jersey Shore in Italy this spring for broadcast later this year, and it may present the reality TV star with an opportunity to find a special girl.

"I'm actually gonna get me some Rosetta Stone," Sorrentino said. "I got two months to learn it. My name comes from Italy so I've got a little bit of heritage there. Plus maybe I can get a hometown Italian chick."
