Married at First Sight star Michaela Clark insists her husband Zack Freeman kept lying to her face while they were filming the show together.

Michaela, whose marriage to Zack is starting to crumble on the show, appeared on the October 13 episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered and watched back a Season 13 clip of a heart to heart she had with Zack following a counseling session.

"How can I make you feel more secure in our marriage, meaning you know I won't run away at the next conflict or next whatever, big thing?" Zack asks Michaela in the clip.

"I think your words and your actions mean a lot to me," Michaela replies.

"I don't really know what words you can say; I just have this overwhelming sense that, like, you're not really in the belief that this would be a long-term thing."

Zack proceeds to share, "My main goal is doing whatever it takes to make this work."

Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and is still married to her match, Doug Hehner -- asked Michaela if she genuinely believes Zack was being truthful in that moment when he said he'd do "whatever it takes" to make their relationship a success.

"No," Michaela bluntly responded. "What I know here is that he is telling many people that it's not going to work."

"But then he comes to me and my family and says, 'No, I am trying my best!' And I'm very, very aware of it."

Michaela explained, "And so it's like, 'You're lying to my face because you're saying that you have doubts and you don't think it's going to be long-term to all of these other people, even me sometimes, you joke about it.'"

"And then you come to me and say, 'I'm going to do whatever it takes to make it work.' Like, he's lying to me!" Michaela added.

One of three Married at First Sight experts, Dr. Viviana Coles, joined Michaela on Unfiltered and admitted that she found the situation a little "funny."

"Because I felt like that was performative [on Zack's part] as well," Viviana shared.

"You did?!" Jamie responded with shock written all over her face.

Viviana elaborated of Zack, "He wants to confidently say, 'I will do whatever it takes,' but I don't think he knows what it's going to take."

"So, it's true that he wants that," the expert noted, "but I think if I was even to just press him, or [Michaela] had asked, 'Okay, so what do you think it's going to take?' I don't think he would have had an answer."

Jamie therefore asked Viviana what Michaela could do to try to see her relationship through and salvage her marriage.

"Your feelings are valid," Viviana assured Michaela. "You've noticed so many nuances and things that only you as a wife can notice."

Viviana went on to describe Michaela's "next step."

"[Demand], 'Show me! Show me that this isn't just a performance. Show me that you are willing to figure out how to be a good husband to me,'" Viviana said.

"That's where I think, if you can go there and he can show you, I think you've still got a chance."

Jamie pointed out how at that point, Michaela would know she's at least given her marriage "110 percent."

"At least you know that for yourself," Jamie told Zack's wife.

As shown on Married at First Sight's thirteenth season, which airs Wednesday nights on Lifetime, Zack and Michaela's relationship appeared to get back on track after an explosive fight earlier in the season over Zack's lack of communication before taking off one morning to run errands.

Michaela and Zack enjoyed a few dates and good laughs, but after facing the music and individually meeting with the show's two other experts, Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson, Zack and Michaela had an off-camera conversation about what they may choose to do on "Decision Day" that apparently went off the rails.

Michaela accused Zack of saying that if "Decision Day" happened to be that very day -- with about two weeks left in the extreme experiment -- he would say "no" to remaining Michaela's husband.

Zack claimed Michaela gave the same response over whether she'd want to stay married or get a divorce, but Michaela insisted she had responded with a more vague, "I don't know."

The argument resulted in a deflated Michaela wanting to sleep in a separate bed from Zack, and so Zack decided to leave their shared apartment altogether and sleep at his old place.

While videochatting with his brother Toliver on Zoom the next day, Zack alleged that Michaela had texted him with some shocking news.

Zack shared how Michaela had claimed she never actually wanted Zack to leave even though she had requested they not sleep together.

"She moved out," Zack revealed of his wife. "She packed everything. I realized she even took the seasoning!"

Toliver called Michaela's behavior "childish, rude and disrespectful," and Zack insisted he had been trying in his marriage and had never put more effort into something in his entire life.

"Seeing Michaela move out for the second time, it's definitely challenging. I don't know if it's something I can overcome because this is the type of [dramatic] reaction that I have trouble with [in relationships]," Zack lamented, adding, "This is literally insanity."
