The ceremony is set for Feb. 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

West, who is nominated for eight awards, warned the Recording Academy of Arts and Sciences only six weeks ago: "Do not let me get up on that stage ... we going crazy," MTV.com noted.

Legend and Carey also have eight nominations apiece.

It was not announced what songs the singers will perform.

West's "Gold Digger" and "Diamonds From Sierra Leone" have both been nominated, while Carey has "We Belong Together,""It's Like That" and "Mine Again" all in Grammy contention.

Legend's biggest hit was "Ordinary People," but "Stay With You" and "So

High" earned Grammy nods as well.
