Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have reportedly agreed to call off their alleged feud for American Idol's sake.

Carey approached Minaj on Monday to discuss how they needed to put an end to their on-camera bickering while judging Idol's twelfth-season contestants because the dynamic would ultimately be bad for the show, TMZ reported.

Minaj reportedly agreed and the two new judges "buried the hatchet and walked down the hall smiling, hand-in-hand."

According to TMZ sources, Carey admitted she was mad Minaj arrived 45 minutes late to Sunday's initial auditions and then the tension between the two divas spiraled out from there.

Carey and Minaj reportedly talked over one another while critiquing auditioners from the judging panel on Sunday. Once Minaj would begin commenting on a singer's performance, Carey would allegedly interrupt her to voice her own opinion. In attempt to one up her, according to TMZ, Minaj would then just speak louder to drown out Carey's many interjections.

"These girls just don't like each other," a source told the website.

However, Carey denied the claims on Monday, telling reporters a "feud" would take longer than two days to develop.

In addition to Carey and Minaj, country singer Keith Urban and music producer Randy Jackson will serve on Idol's upcoming twelfth-season judging panel.
