Lindsay Lohan was turned away Thursday from her court-ordered duty at the Los Angeles County morgue after she showed up late.

Lohan's publicist told TMZ the 25-year-old actress was late because she didn't know which entrance to go through and because of confusion caused by the media outside the building.

When she did finally arrive around 8:40 a.m., officials with the Coroner's office turned her away because she was late, TMZ reported. She is required to show up at 7 a.m. to perform eight-hour shifts, the Los Angeles Times said.

The actress, whose probation was revoked Wednesday by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner, has been ordered to perform 16 hours of weekly community service at the county morgue until a hearing Nov. 2 to determine if she will be sent back to jail.

"With all of the stress and pressure from yesterday and today, I've never been so happy to go to therapy!!!! Also, I'm sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner's office. Won't happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help," Lohan tweeted Thursday morning.

The former child star pleaded guilty in May to stealing a necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, Calif.
